I just finished shipping out 8 big boxes to Amazon. Of course this shipment included my latest bundle product for a Unique Valentine Gift Idea.
I did go in and add more images of the product and fixed a spelling error on the product page that Claudia pointed out (thanks Claudia).
I’ve been hearing from many of you about some ideas you are coming up with for bundles to sell… this is so cool that you all are excited about the possibilities.
I’ve been rolling my next bundle idea around in my head. I want to create something specific for St. Paddy’s day… and yet I’m in a quandary. I can’t seem to fit this idea into something that would sell all year ’round.
And… I really wanted to create something that used some of the same “ideas” from my last bundle product. This should be easy, I am usually pretty quick with ideas and yet I’ve had a “brain block” today.
Note: I’ve also started creating bundle products with “just” products and showing exactly how I’m doing this over on my DebraConrad.com blog. If you aren’t getting that newsletter – why not? I’m sharing good stuff on that blog as well (if I don’t say so myself – lol).
Anyway… the idea of a “Snuggle Kit” for St. Patrick’s Day or making S’mores with green marshmallows – just hit me wrong.
I DO still want to create a bundle that will ship in my specific sized box – remember it’s a box that is the perfect size for the full size image label. Note: I originally paid over $2 per box from Staples. I just ordered boxes from Uline.com and got them for under $1 a box including shipping. Yeah for a deal!

Step Away From The Holiday’s
That’s what I decided to do… step away from the thought that I “HAD” to create something to sell in March that was Holiday Related… and figure out something that would sell all year long.
This “feel” right for many reasons:
- I think it will be easier to create something that will follow the “template” method.
- It should be “easier” to create bundled products from items I can source all year… this would NOT be green marshmallows. LOL
- It feels like I can get “more” creative and not get stuck in a specific “way of doing things”.
Don’t get me wrong here… Holiday’s Sell Products! I will still be back in the Holiday Game for some holiday’s – I just can’t get enthusiastic about the St. Paddy’s day idea…. I’m not against celebrating or selling products related to this holiday… It’s my own brain that is holding me back. I need to move on.
I did see (on Amazon) a great bundle idea for St Paddy’s day that has me thinking about some other ideas: St. Patrick’s Day Gift

Soooooo…. What am I thinking of doing now?
I’ve loved these images forever and would love to figure out something to use them on:

This set of images includes all sort’s of nature images – flowers, birds and fish along with other forms of nature. All of them are gorgeous and get my brain going with creative thoughts.
In looking at just this image above – I’m thinking about a bundled product targeted at bird lovers.
I checked the Google Keyword Tool and find that “Bird Gift” is not highly searched online. Disappointing
I know I will come up with an idea… but I need to step away for a day just to give my brain time to work through it. If you have any ideas to share just leave a comment below.

Hi Debra,
I laughed when i saw your Paddy’s Day bundle… very good! Only thing I see wrong with it is that if it’s being bought off Amazon you gotta factor in the delivery time so it’s not something anyone might buy on the morning of the 18th. It would probably sell as a ‘jokey’ gift that people would buy their friends.
However, if you are looking for ideas for a more ‘classic’ bundle for that holiday, you might try (I don’t know the ins and outs of this – it’s just what comes to mind) something that includes shamrock, whiskey, and images or lapel pins etc.. of harps can be quite classy. However you manage to tie those together with PD stuff I am not sure but I think done the right way it could sell pretty well in the run up to the holiday.
Looking forward to seeing more of your ideas!
Dave

Good morning Debra-
I have an idea for you for that beautiful bird image-
Picture this- make a sack -paper- with the bird image on it -throw in a bird feeder of some sorts-and here’s the prize= (make your own bird food, birdseed recipes ) include organic recipes, bla bla bla. ??? What do you think?? also – another twist – focus on the hummingbird – throw in a feeder – and give them the “recipe” to make their own hummingbird food – instead of buying it. Some people don’t know they can – make- the necter- have a great day!

Good idea Sylvia! Plus I reckon any of those shopping bags on Zazzle would look good with that design….
trying to find your last post to see if there was a reply – still can’t figure out how to add my picture to my posts… lol

I like your idea Sylvia! You could definitely market that to families, as an educational project to do together. Like a family nature kit or something. “Attract birds to your own yard by making your very own bird food!”

Another thought came to me because of from what Aadel wrote : kits for teachers for the kids. Mothers Day gifts kids can make from little bags(you supply) (for their homemade birdseed- that you provide with “a recipe”) the kids attach their “pretty bird labels” on the bag. (Topped with a supplied bow) It is educational because they put the recipe together in the bag and they learn about bird food, how they eat what they eat – etc. This is for father’s day too- Topped with some kind of trinket.

Hi Debra — I did a Google search on “Bird feeders kids can make” and saw some very clever inexpensive, easy-to-make bird feeders. While many of the parts wouldn’t fit well into your 2″ deep box, you could provide a mini-book of directions and photos for the kids and parents to use. March is the time when birds begin coming back to most areas of the country, so this might be an idea that could easily be developed.
Dave – If only we could sell “booze” on Amazon! We would all be rich… lol
Sylvia – great ideas! I’m on it!
Dave – I can see your picture! You must have figured out the avatar with gravatar.
Good idea for the Zazzle bag – I’ll look into that.
Aadel – great idea for home schooling families. It seems we have a theme with the make your own bird food.
Sylvia – you are on a brainstorming roll! Keep it up…
Steve – clever ideas. You are thinking outside the box and yet these ideas could be produced easily.
Debra,
You could still do a ” luck of the Irish” themed bundle that those of Irish descent would like any time of year. This wouldn’t tie you into March only. Just a thought.
I think bird gift falls from the tree limb above or down from the sky. ;>

Just throwing out ideas, but how about bird feeder, or your own “special blend” of bird food? They both do well. Or some angle with bird watching? Auduban receives 2.2 million searches and has a low competition rating.
