Hi everyone…

Today I am sharing something on a personal note and why I need your help.

First let me share a little bit about my two boys.

I gave birth and welcomed into the world two beautiful boys – while I was young, dumb and married to my first husband.  My two boys had to suffer through years of divorce and wicked step-mother issues (after I got smart and left the very worst man in the world).

I married a wonderful man (who was a very close friend but never a boy-friend in high-school) and we commenced raising my two boys together (half time parents) with love and a passion for making their world as bright and forgiving and loving as we could.

These two boys (and my grand-daughters) are the light of my life – still. It doesn’t matter if your kids are in their 30′s and doing well on their own… you are still “the momma” and can’t help loving them just as much today as the day they were born.

Okay… so here is the issue… and it’s causing all three of us “angst”:

My oldest purchased an expensive truck several years ago while he was going through his own divorce.  He loved that truck and was so proud of it… then he get’s married and shipped off to spend 3 years in Italy.

My youngest happened to be buying a house at the same time.  He sold his own car to use as the down payment… and was in need of a car to get to work.

Can you see where this is going???

Mom… because she is the “fixer”… suggests that the truck stay “in the family” and used by my youngest boy. This worked for a while.

Note – yes… he has quit smoking!

Now the truck needs to be sold… as my oldest is preparing to return to the states with his “new family” and buy a house.  They do not need a huge gas hog – they will now need a “family car” and could use the money from the sale of the truck now to help build up savings for a house purchase.

So… my youngest has agreed to purchase “said truck” outright.

Of course… they can’t come to an agreement on price. LOL…

This is where a Mom like me steps in… because she sees trouble brewing and want’s to keep the peace.

Please… don’t share with me how I shouldn’t get in the middle – or shouldn’t try to be a “fixer” for 30 yo boys.  I know this.. hubby reminds me of this often. I can’t help it.

You should see my face when ever anyone says “Debra – You should stay out of it”. I Know!  If I were you – I’d be saying the same thing. Anyway…
