So… you’ve read the “Crash Course on Public Domain Content” – right?
You now know what Public Domain “IS”.
And… if you are anything like me – you also have a boat load of PLR content sitting on your hard drive.
But – How are you going to repurpose all that content to use it in your own business?
You are going to use it to create your own sales funnel.
Become an Expert – Don’t just blog – be unique and focus on a topic and you will be percieved as an expert. (even if you don’t think you are) When you use expertly written content from the public domain and/or PLR – you don’t have to “think”. It’s amazing – but I can become an expert on “any” topic or niche in a matter of minutes.
Because I’ve pulled together a batch of really great content, images, ideas, video, audio, products, free reports, recommendations etc. etc. etc. All of this “stuff” put in one place online – makes me “seem” like an expert.
Add in some personal blog posts – a great “About Me” page – a fantastic landing page with a call to action (sign up for your newsletter) – Now Your Cooking With Gas!
Newsletter “Freebie” – Now that you have a blog – you need a “list”. You want raving fans to sign up for your email list. But you and I both know that it’s much easier to get the name and email if you give them something of value. Give to Get!
Get Traffic to Your Blog – When you build a site with plenty of valuable resources on it – you will get noticed more often by search engines. The more you are found by other blog owners – the better your chances are of getting them to link to you because they will see how valuable your site is.
Special Reports – Now that you have a blog with some great content and a “freebie” to give to your subscribers – you need to start giving even more. Give some “free reports” (not junk – but really helpful stuff). These reports are usually about 5 to 8 pages. Use Public Domain (and/or PLR) to create Bonus Reports and Freebies.
If you can’t figure out how to start a special report – turn some content into a simple Q&A format… simple.
Info Products (or just plain ol’ products) – Now that you have a blog and a “freebie” and a few special reports you need to start selling products. You can be an affiliate and recommend other peoples products and/or you can create your own products. Read (or re-read) the The 5 “Modes” Of Public Domain Publishing.
If you have ever taken months to create “ONE” product… shame on you. You will increase sales (income) when you have more products to offer. Use Public Domain/PLR to create new products FAST!
Become an Author! – Publish some physical books online and get a few copies to hand out. Now you have established yourself as an “author”.
Sell Yourself As Well As Products – Selling yourself means two different things. :
It means “Be Yourself” and it also means “They Won’t Buy From You If They Don’t Trust YOU!”
When was the last time you purchased something online? List out several things (you can just do this in your head).
- Skip all the “Make Money Online” stuff you have purchased.
- Skip all the “regular” type stuff – coffee or fiction novels from Amazon don’t count.
Okay – so let’s look at that list. Did you buy a physical product? Or have you purchased a digital product?
Did you buy:
- Ink for your printer?
- A book on gardening?
- Decorations for your kids room?
- Gifts for the last holiday?
Did you purchase anything digital?
- A book for your Kindle?
- Music or a Movie?
- A diet membership?
- A how-to for something other than making money online?
Who did you buy from? Did you buy from Amazon type sites only? Or… did you purchase something that someone you trust recommended?
Do you buy products that others produce or recommend? Do you trust that they have done the research and know that they wouldn’t steer you wrong?
Think about how you shop online – for anything – and start selling as if you are someone YOU would like to buy from.
Okay… I “did” say previously that I wasn’t going to give you a bunch of “marketing ideas” on this blog. Sorry… can’t help it. You need to know this stuff.
