The theory of using content that is only original content on a blog is a good idea... but not always possible in my opinion.

Google does not penalize blogs for using content published elsewhere... they may not give high rankings for that content - but they don't go out an push a button "delisting" your site.

If that were true... I wouldn't have one site that ever got traffic. (And I have about 100 blogs that "all" get traffic).

I do rewrite "most" of the public domain content I publish (not all) just because I like to put my own spin on content or use it to direct people to purchase something through an affiliate link.

I also use straight copy/paste public domain content on sites that I only make money through Google adsense. This works for me as well.

So... Edwin, the answer to your question "Do We HAVE to Rewrite The Content for Maximizing SEO" is yes - and - no.

If I were targeting a specific long tail keyword - I would rewrite accordingly.

But!!! I have used Public Domain content "as is" and then my stats show me some very interesting SEO strategies I can use because I can see new (never thought about) long tail keywords that others have used to find my sites.

Hi there...

Picking up interest in public domain content, and wish to know when we use it for content at any website or blog we may have, do we have to rewrite the content for maximizing seo or is there no need to do this if so why ?

The rule of thumb is never add content to a site that has not been rewritten or suffer a penalty from google and no seo benefits at all...

I am wondering or it is almost suggested on your blog unless I am misunderstanding what you are saying, that it is ok create a website and just start adding content to a site without rewriting it and experience good results in seo from just adding content as is...!
