Update – March 24, 2010 – I just read about Tiffany Dow loosing one of her blogger blogs because Google felt it was “spam”. All that work – down the drain.
I’ve seen the light… LOL… I’m going to avoid using Google Blogger Blogs (at least for the near future) and concentrate on using my own hosted Word Press blogs.
Just thought you should know!

In the Internet Marketing world – you learn to fail and fail fast! I’ve failed more times than I can count… or want to admit.
What did I fail at this time? I used a Google Free Blog to teach a marketing system. I’ve used this system myself many times – and it works for me.
At least it used to work for me…
I’ve started to teach the system I use how to set up small niche blogs and fill the blogs with Public Domain content to make a few bucks.
The problem is this:
I know (and you know it) that having your own domain name and a self-hosted WordPress blog is really key for making large niche websites.
WordPress is a Content Management System / blogging platform that just works for niche marketing.
If you are serious – and it seems that most of you are – then it just makes sense to start your niche marketing projects on a hosted WordPress blog format. The cost is not really an issue.
I mean $10.69 for a dot com domain name at GoDaddy and $4.95 per month hosting (hatchling plan) with Hostgator would get the job done.
I’ve decided to go ahead and Fail and Fail Fast - lick my wounds… and move the content from Google Blogger to a self-hosted WordPress blog.
Want to see the system over my shoulder? Micro Niche Affiliate Blogs
Giving you the help you need is my main objective.

Hi Debra
I agree, it’s worth digging in and learning the basics of WP. Some great tutorials out there and to my detriment (because it allows me to start new projects at the drop of a hat) I find I can register a domain name, throw up a WP blog with a nice theme and have some posts up in about 90 minutes.
Not good for the focus and finish part of the drill because the bit I like most is the FIND!!

FIND – is the fun part – But it’s the FINISH that makes us money!!! LOL
Greetings from San Diego. Just discovered your website. Public domain has become a new resource for me and glad to find you as a resource for mining the treasure.
Onward with purpose,

Hi Chaplain Paul. Thanks for checking us out, we’re proud to have you with us. Let us know if you have any questions and we look forward to exploring the Public Domain together.
Great call! Having your own domain is vital, whether you’re dealing with PD content or any other content. I actually have 12 blogs, all of which use WordPress. The plugins, themes, and content management are absolutely unmatched.
I subscribe to your newsletter and read your blog regularly. Not only do I often utilize PD content on a couple of my blogs (a self help blog, a brain fitness blog, and a Dream Analysis site – dreamprophesy.com), I’m working on a Self Confidence e-book as well.
Basically, I’ve gotten a great deal of information from you that serves me well, so thank you!
If you ever have any questions about WordPress, plugins, themes, and so on – don’t hesitate for a millisecond to e-mail me!

I agree – WP is fantastic! Blogger is easy to learn and good for beginners (plus it’s free).
I like blogger blogs and Squidoo pages for “testing”….
But – man – I’ve reformed from testing on blogger any longer.
Moving content this week was a bear and we only had 13 posts! The content imported great.
The problems started when:
=I had to upload all the images so that thy weren’t hosted on Google blogspot.
=I had to change every internal link because they linked to the Google blogspot.
= You can not redirect an old blogger blog easily (pain in the neck) any longer.
Sometime late last year – Google changed the format of blogspot and Logan and I had a real challenge
learning the nuances of the new system.
In retrospect – what used to be “easy” is now not any easier than learning to use WP blogs.
Now – I’ll just do my testing on Squidoo pages…
We love it that you use all that Public Domain content for so many different uses! Thanks for sharing!
