Pieces Of Old Magazines Sell For High Profits On eBay

Sell Old Advertisements on eBay

What do you sell on eBay? Consumer products? Collectibles? Thrift store treasures? Or… are you looking for a profitable idea to sell on eBay?

It’s a full time business hunting down all the products you need for your eBay business. Then you have to sell and ship them. I’ve done it and the eBay business can get overwhelming.

What if you made could sell small easy to find items on eBay by tearing the pages out of old books and magazines and selling those separate pages for big profits to hundreds of people all over the world?

It sounds like a strange business, but in fact it’s a simple business, and you’re actually selling vintage collectibles not as ‘pages’ but as advertising posters, and prints, maps and other highly prized paper items.

How is it possible to sell bits and pieces of old books and magazines on eBay for high profit?

Because most vintage books were illustrated with gorgeous illustrations and were also usually printed on better quality paper than we encounter today.

And.. 0ld magazines were originally printed so that you could read them many times often over several months and many were kept indefinitely, meaning paper used to print them had to be stronger than those used for today’s throwaway papers.

What does that mean for you? Well…Selling a page from an old publication is quite unlike selling one from a recent newspaper or magazine, or book, and by themselves those very early pages have high perceived value and can fetch high prices on eBay and elsewhere.

Pictures and maps from old magazines, also advertisements and cartoons, are purchased for research purposes or as decorative pieces to decorated our homes in a way that can never be accomplished by recently created posters and prints. No matter how well copied and printed… the piece will not have the same look and feel as a vintage piece.

In reality – you could purchase just one vintage publication that could be a source of literally hundreds of pages people will bid on and generate very high profits for you.

So, while you’re out at yard sales and flea markets, used book stores, or even surfing on eBay, keep an eye open for the following items in books and magazines:

  • Full page advertisements, especially for health and beauty products, alcohol and tobacco.
  • Full page maps, the older the better, especially with place names that are now much changed from their current day names and spellings.  Not only for decorator purposes but genealogists love these.
  • Artist drawn illustrations and cartoons, notably from artists who remain collectible today, such as George Studdy (creator of Bonzo Dog), Mabel Lucie Attwell (a favorite on vintage postcards), Landseer (who painted mainly animals and whose dog portraits are immensely collectible today).
  • Knitting and other craft and needle art patterns which can be sold for today’s craft workers to recreate yesterday’s more intricate or retro designs.
  • Photographs that can be framed. Historical events, animal breeds and famous figures are popular
  • Calendars from New Year publications which often featured beneath immensely attractive artwork and again are highly sought after as posters and prints.

vintage paperIt’s impossible to list all the ways you can use this one idea!  It’s all so easy, so profitable, so enjoyable, and when you see what’s involved you really will be amazed at the prices people all over the world will pay for items anyone can find, take home and dismantle, and …..
