Tapping Into The Spiritual Market With Public Domain Content

While spirituality and religion is an ongoing presence in our culture it seems to have become increasingly important. Perhaps it’s the maturing of the baby boomers, a change in the collective consciousness or perhaps it is simply related to our present situation.

Many people are finding themselves struggling both financially and emotionally. The war and our present economic situation are both very taxing situations and when we’re faced with adversity many people turn to religion.

Whatever the cause in the upswing of spirituality and religious studies, if your business or industry speaks to this topic, religion and spirituality, then you may find “Spiritual Theology” By Fr. Jordan Aumann, O.P. a useful communication tool or potential product.

Spiritual Theology, a public domain book which can be found at http://www.archive.org/details/SpiritualTheologyByFr.JordanAumannO.p is actually a recent text, written in the 1990’s. This means that while the author speaks on religious history, it is in the context of the present. The benefit? You don’t have to update the content with modern language and examples.

With more than 314 pages of text and 14 chapters there is an abundance of options for using this well written public domain book. For example, each chapter could be a special report.

Chapter One is titled “Nature and Scope of Spiritual Theology” and discusses the following topics:

  • * Terminology
  • * Spirituality and Theology
  • * Definition of Spiritual Theology
  • * Theological Method
  • * Sources of Spiritual Theology
  • * Schools of Spirituality

Without graphics, that’s a 21 page report. Add graphics and images, which can also be derived from the public domain and other text on religion and spirituality and you could have quite a dynamic and compelling report.

In addition to the ability to create several dynamic reports from this public domain text you could also use sections of the book for newsletter articles, article marketing, and blog posts.

For example, Chapter Five has a section titled “Special Questions” which would make for a potentially controversial or engaging discussion – perfect for a blog post. To really amplify the content you could insert your own opinion and examples for comment.

Finally, as with all public domain books Spiritual Theology can be used to give away or sell as a complete book. You can keep the book in it’s original format which in this case is image free, or you can reformat the text, add images, create a new cover and perhaps change the introduction to better suit your audience’s needs.

Spiritual Theology is a great addition to the public domain archives and a very useful tool for those with an audience seeking spirituality and religious information.
