I started blogging several years ago… actually I resisted the whole blog idea for way to long. I thought that it was just a personal diary and not useful for my marketing ideas.

I was wrong. Actually I was Very Wrong. I would rather set up a blog for every new marketing idea I have than set up an HTML based website… Ever again.

This 5 step process is and easy way to increase your blogging income.

If you are looking for a way to start making money on the internet, and you have a budget that is very small or zero, blogging is a great way to get started.

Blogging has become very popular lately. For one thing, it’s free. For another, you don’t need to have any technical skills what so ever to get started. If you can read and write, you can blog.

So what is a blog? A blog is a simple web page that anyone can set up in minutes. People use them as journals, diaries, and sales pages, like you will learn to do here.

But, How Do I Make An Income Blogging?

You may be wondering how you can make money with a free blog. The answer is by adding Google Adsense, and promoting affiliate products.

You will not make money overnight with this system, but over 2 to 3 months, you can expect to start making some decent money. Remember, the cost for all this is absolutely nothing or very, very little.

You can use “Blogger” for your first blogging experience. Blogger is owned by Google, which is one reason I have used it.

Blogs are crawled by the search engines regularly, so you can get indexed very quickly. This is a fact. Blogs just position the articles and other content in such a way that the search engines love to find them. You don’t need to know how it works… just that it does work.

I confess that I have now switched to WordPress blogs. They offer more features and are far more powerful.

It takes a bit more time to create a WordPress blog and of course you will have to pay for a domain name and hosting. But you “own” this blog… and you won’t ever take the chance of having your blog shut down for some unexplained reason.

Make sure you know the difference between http://wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.com/

WordPress.org is a free software application that you must load onto your own website. This means that you will have to pay for a domain name and website hosting.

WordPress.com is a free blogging site – much like Blooger by Google. They will shut you down if you don’t follow the rules.

I always suggest that you plan on having your own blogs… where they reside on a server paid for by you.

That said… blogging on the “free to use” sites is the easiest, fasted and cheapest way to get started.

So…. Step One – Set up your blog. If you are using Blogger, this should take you about 5 minutes.
