Using Public Domain Photos is an easy way to add a bit of “pop” to your blog.
I do like to take my camera out and click away to get some great shots for my blog articles. But, they often sit unused on my hard drive… taking up valuable space.
Plus, time is usually a problem. Blogs should be updated often, and if adding a quick photograph or two will help give color or drive home a point… then I need access to on target photos quickly.
The problem is often a matter of price. I don’t want to pay for photos if I don’t have to. At a dollar a pop, this could be an expense that I just don’t want to put into the budget. (I have enough expenses… thank you very much)!
This image was used on a blog that is very popular. This is the blog I’m talking about: http://artofmanliness.com/
The ease of finding these images that are in the Public Domain or have a Creative Commons license… is apparent in this blog. It adds to the look of his subject which has a very “manly” theme and subject matter.
So… could you use some help in deciding how and when to use Public Domain Photos? It use to take me a bit of time to find each photo to use in my blogs… but now it’s become so easy.
I learned where to find public domain images and some tools that are quick to use for editing if necessary. The difference between a blog article that is plain Jane… and an article on a blog that has just one colorful Public Domain photo is really amazing.
A colorful graphic draws the eye to the beginning of the article… and gives the reader a quick clue as to the article’s subject.
I’ve got lot’s more ideas for using public domain images.

p.s. I’m getting ready to change the Public Domain Book Club – Again! (Hey – I’m a girl – I’m supposed to change my mind)
I’m changing to a new shopping cart system – which will be very cool for all of you who want to become an affiliate for “all” of my products (including the book club where you can earn recurring commissions).
And… I will be changing the book club content access (again) – when the change happens “NEW” subscribers will only have access to 8 books in one month instead of 16! So… if you haven’t made the leap to gain access to this growing library of copyright free public domain books – you might want to jump in!
Before the change – I want to make sure you know what you will have access to right now!
The Silver Membership subscription price includes access to 16 books.
The Gold Membership gives you access to ALL 199 Books and every set of Public Domain High Resolution Images I’ve ever offered.
