Making Money From The Public Domain…

Hey there…

In my last post, I told you about what the Public Domain is right?

As a quick reminder, here it is again:

All creative works that are not protected by copyright law form the Public Domain.

The primary goal of Public Domain Treasure Hunter Blog  is to provide you with lots of fresh new money-generating ideas for instant profit from the Public Domain.

In this post I’ll reveal just one of these ideas, along with a few ideas to build your business. These ideas are about books in the Public Domain and how you can use them to create niche products that you can use to jumpstart your very own online income stream

Instant Information Products

Selling information products is without doubt the most inexpensive and easiest way of generating serious online income. But the problem is finding the quality content that makes up the product…

Do you write it all yourself?

Let’s face it – most of us can’t write very well or even worse you may not enjoy writing at all! If you do enjoy writing that’s awesome!

But, writing every word of content yourself can take way too long - how many would-be authors do you know that have taken months, even years to finish a book?

Other than doing it all yourself, you can also try paying someone to write your e-book. Places like elance.com, rentacoder.com, and guru.com are great outsourcing websites, but the trouble here is that to have someone write quality content, you need to pay them a lot.

Cheaper freelancers will be jumping at the chance to write your next best-seller, but the experience is a bummer as the work produced 9- times-out-of-10 sucks.

So, if you are not the next Jim Edwards, Marlon Sanders or Yanik Silver, what do you do? You certainly can’t afford to spend $500 or more straight-up for someone to write your first product.

You want something that is affordable, and allows you the chance to MAKE the money before you start spending it.

Right?

That’s where the true power of the Public Domain lies. You can take a readymade product and use it for your business. Even if you want to sell it just as it is (although you might want to edit it a bit to update the writing style and put in your own information), there are many, many works lying in the Public Domain that are ‘instant information products’.

There are literally millions of great ‘how-to’ type books in the Public Domain that would make great info products.

So how can you profit from this?

Just follow all the steps in this Checklist:

The Checklist

  • Find a profitable niche – do your research!
  • Find a quality public domain work – it’s easy when you know where to look.
  • Create your e-book
  • Purchase hosting and domain name
  • Create your website
  • Market your product!

That’s it. The difficult part is finding the idea – after that, everything is just a set of tasks that need to be done in every business, and as such, there are countless free tools and strategies that you can use to gain an edge.

In my next post, I’ll tell you more about a secret Public Domain ‘insider’ resource that can help you get an incredible jump-start.

Take care,
